OTT Seasonal Ranking
The Open Tournament Tour Seasonal Ranking includes all Open Tournaments officially entered in the OVC OTT for the current season. Open Tournaments of the season prior to the current season are carried over with reduced points (see Ranking Point System).
The OTT Seasonal Ranking is used to decide seeding for Open Tournaments and qualification for the OVC Cup.
This ranking counts four entries. These consist of three different types:
- The highest placement in the highest tournament category played (at least 3 Star)
- The highest placement in the second highest tournament category played (at least 2 Star)
- The two highest ranking point placements in any other Open Tournaments played
If a team has not played any tournament meeting the requirements of 1. or 2., these entries remain empty.
Teams may improve already entered placements with other placements throughout the season. Replaced placements exceeding the four entry limit will be marked as “excluded placements” and will not be counted.
In case of a tie in ranking points between teams, the team that has completed more counted placements wins the tie. If both teams have the same amount of placements or have both completed all their four placements, the team that has played more Open Tournaments with a higher category wins. Should this not solve the tie, the team with the single highest placement or more highest placements wins. Should none of this solve the tie, both teams are considered tied and must play a single best-of-5-sets match should the tie need to be resolved.
The OTT Historical Ranking
The Open Tournament Tour Historical Ranking includes all tournaments officially recorded before the 2021/2022 season.
This ranking uses an adjusted point system and counts all placements of all teams with at least 2 tournament placements.
In case of a tie in ranking points between teams, the team that has played the higher valued tournaments wins. Should this not solve the tie, the team with the single highest placement or more highest placements wins. Should none of this solve the tie, both teams stay tied.
The OTT Permanent Ranking
The Open Tournament Tour Permanent Ranking includes all Open Tournaments officially entered in the OVC OTT since the 2021/2022 season.
This ranking counts all officially entered placements of all teams with at least 2 Open Tournament placements.
In case of a tie in ranking points between teams, the team that has played the higher valued Open Tournaments wins. Should this not solve the tie, the team with the single highest placement or more highest placements wins. Should none of this solve the tie, both teams stay tied.
